Sadie Robertson Huff may now call herself the proud mother of two little ones! The former Duck Dynasty star, who is now 25 years old, made the announcement on Thursday that she and her husband, Christian Huff, have become parents for the second time to a little girl named Haven, who was born on May 22. Honey, the couple’s daughter, is currently 1 year old and was born after the pair tied the knot in 2019.
In celebration of the news, Sadie posted a slideshow of photographs, which included a picture of her and Christian beaming while holding Haven in the hospital, up-close shots of the infant, a photograph of Haven and Honey playing together, and a photograph of the happy parents leaving the hospital with their new daughter.
Sadie stated in the letter, “Haven has brought a touch of heaven,” revealing her daughter’s name in the process. The elated mother remarked that “life got a whole lot sweeter” once Haven was brought into the world.
According to what she wrote, “Christian and I could not be happier or more grateful,” “Trying to take in each and every moment.”
Christian also shared on social media about the birth of his daughter Haven, including a picture of himself beaming up at the infant while holding her and a picture of his youngest daughter by herself.
“Surreal seeing a little miracle up so close,” he wrote in his reflections on the experience. “Blown away by God. Love you so much Haven. Some of the most tender moments in all of history.”
During an interview with ET that took place in December, Sadie discussed the fact that she was expecting her second bundle of joy. The reality star stated that she and her family were “over the moon” anticipating the arrival of the new member.
She shared her excitement with Entertainment Tonight by saying, “I am so excited because, I mean, if anybody follows me, everybody knows that I love sisterhood.” “My whole thing is like, hello, sister, sister and friends, sister, sister, sister, sister,” she said, “and so the fact that I get to have little sisters in our home is so exciting.”
Sadie and her husband are contemplating expanding their family, which is an exciting possibility; yet, they have stated that they are “still wrapping our minds around just having two kids and how crazy that’s going to be.” Regardless of this, she stated that they were “so, so thankful and can’t wait.”
Sadie also dropped hints about the name she would give her second daughter, saying at the time that the name was “inspired by the Bible, but once again, it’s unique and not like a straight-up Bible name.”
“Because Honey is such a remarkable and one-of-a-kind name, naming one of my daughters Honey and then naming the other daughter after her was a little challenging, but it was a lot of fun. One time, I was flying and I prayed to God, saying, “God, you know how much I adore Honey’s name.” Sadie recalls thinking, “I just want our next baby to have a name that is just as sweet as that one because it is so sweet and because it is so personal.” “As I am sitting there praying on the plane, it’s literally like a name dropped in my heart, and ever since that time, we have stuck with it. It was a hit with Christian.”
