Scarlett Johansson is describing her time spent with Jeremy Renner in the aftermath of the near-fatal snowplow accident that occurred in January.
Johansson remembered with sadness her visit to the Rennervations actor in a recent interview with Variety. She told the publication that after the horrible accident that left him crippled and hospitalized, she wasn’t sure whether she’d ever see him again.
On the first day of the new year, Renner was killed when a snowplow ran over him close to his house in the Mt. Rose Highway neighborhood of Reno, Nevada. The Marvel star was attempting to help his nephew when the nephew’s automobile became mired in the snow and became stranded. He was transported to the hospital by helicopter, where he had a number of treatments, including chest surgery, to mend the many bones that had been fractured as a result of the accident.
“To tell you the truth, I was quite ecstatic to see him. It was impossible for me to predict when we might cross paths again. To not only see him again but also to see him flourishing and in such an incredible place psychologically, is something that Johansson talks about. “In general, he is a very spiritual guy, and he is also a really soulful one. That is reflected in his work, without a doubt. It is able to shine through. He is very complex in many ways. And I just wanted to express how glad it made me realize that not only is he humorous but also brimming with life and brightness. We had a good time laughing.
Chris Evans, who was also there during the visit, provided some insight into the atmosphere that prevailed when the three of them got together.
There were no tears at all. “There were a lot of smiles, laughter, and embraces,” he adds. ” “I should have known Jeremy could take something that could have been so tragic and turn it into something that could have been so inspiring.”
Concerning the manner in which she became aware of the information, Johansson said that she and Channing Tatum were in the midst of filming a forthcoming movie for Apple called Project Artemis when she awoke to the news that one of her fellow Avengers cast members had come dangerously close to being murdered.
“I was in a state of extreme distress,” she says. Renner’s prognosis, however, turned from bleak to optimistic, and this allowed for a few jokes to be made about how the 52-year-old actor has emerged as the true superhero among his fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe cast members.

On the Avengers text chain, we were all like, “OK, you beat us all.” That sums it up well. You triumphed,’” Johansson tells her. “That’s the stuff that true superheroes are made of. It defies all logic and reason.
Renner has been documenting his rehabilitation in the months that have followed the accident. Just this past Saturday, he released a video of himself walking, which was followed by an astounding video of him displaying his improvement as he ran at full speed and performed half squats.
“This was created by my physical therapist as a reference, and it is important to keep in mind that in order to walk, you must first take one step at a time! “#onefootinfrontoftheother,” Renner wrote with the video he uploaded to Instagram and shared with his followers.
At the beginning of the video, Renner is seen walking with the help of a walker as another individual pulls a wheelchair close behind him. As the video, which was recorded from the waist down to show off his feet, proceeds, viewers can see Renner go from walking with help to moving with a balancing support band to walking on the treadmill to walking with a cane in his hand. The video was filmed from the waist down to show off his feet.
At the very end of the movie, Renner does a lighthearted runway strut toward the camera and away from the frame, with absolutely no assistance whatsoever. This serves as a demonstration of his complete degree of recuperation.
.” Renner was speaking to ET about his recovery at the time. “A lot of my recovery was based on this show and setting the intention for me to be upright and walking and out of the bed for this show,” Renner stated. “And most importantly, for my daughter. My rehabilitation had an impact on a lot of people, including my family and my friends, and the play does a fantastic job of representing that.
