Anson Williams is most well known for playing the role of Warren “Potsie” Weber in the American sitcom “Happy Days.” Potsie was a somewhat naive but good-hearted singer who delighted the audience throughout the show’s 11 seasons. Anson Williams played the role from 1974 to 1984.

The famous performance became an important part of Williams’ career and garnered him nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Series, Miniseries, or TV Film as well as Best Supporting Actor. Williams also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. But as of late, the actor has been making headlines for a topic that has nothing to do with his previous work.

After exchanging vows with Sharon MaHarry on Saturday, May 6, 2023, Williams, who is now 73 years old, is a happily married man. The gorgeous and enchanting wedding ceremony, which took place in the actor’s own backyard, was a significant turning point in his life at the time.

In addition to having a troubled romantic life, Williams also struggled mightily with her health.

The television legend looked suave in a black suit, light blue dress shirt, and gray tie with a pattern. He combined this with a gray patterned tie. In addition, he had a boutonniere pinned to the jacket’s lapel, and he accessorized his outfit with a pair of black glasses.

On the other side, Williams’ bride looked absolutely lovely in a floor-length lace dress with long sleeves and a boat neck. The dress also had a full skirt. She wore her shoulder-length blonde locks loose, with part of them pinned back out of the way of her face, and she clutched a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The newlyweds could be seen beaming with happiness as they sealed their love in the presence of their family and friends. MaHarry was married to Williams in a private villa in the coastal town of Los Angeles. Williams had previously attempted to run for mayor of Ojai but was unsuccessful.

The wedding was held in the groom’s beautiful green and large yard, which was decked with enormous flower and plant pots. The ceremony was attended by the couple’s family and close friends. The event was made even more memorable by the addition of dazzling lights, which were strung from the branches of the surrounding trees.

MaHarry’s closest friends and relatives looked on in astonishment as her daughter led her down the aisle to wed the man she had known to be the love of her life. During the time when the bride and groom were making their promise to spend the rest of their lives together, a beautiful song was playing in the background.

Williams and MaHarry reportedly were engaged on April 3, according to Williams’s page on Facebook. Throughout the whole of event, he sported a bright and friendly grin that wonderfully captured the essence of his joy. It was none other than Williams’ series co-star, Don Most, who portrayed Ralph Malph on “Happy Days.” Most served as Williams’ best man.

The two guys have an incredible friendship that stems from their time spent working together on the program. Williams thinks of Most as a close friend and often refers to him as his “brother.” The two people have maintained the warm and endearing relationship that they had in the past.

When Williams posted photographs from his happy day on social media, a lot of his followers saw Most there and sent words of congratulations and support for him and the newlyweds.

“Congratulations!!! What a stunning bride you are, and I like your choice of best man! One user commented that “he’s still got it.” “Anson you both look fantastic. I can’t remember the last time I saw you grin like that. It’s been a while. Another user on the website added, “May God bless you both.”

While everything was going on, the ecstatic groom couldn’t control his delight as he gazed at his stunning wife and posted his image on Facebook with the phrase “A magical moment in time.”

It is stated that Williams met the woman who would become his better half during the winter of his life and immediately realized she was the one he was supposed to be with. In spite of having lived through a scary health scare and the dissolution of his marriage of 30 years, he remains steadfast in his conviction that “It’s never too late to get it right!”

MaHarry has established a fruitful career for himself as an experienced real estate agent. In addition to this, he has also experimented with advertising and writing. She attended Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, and graduated with a degree in English there.

Previously, she worked at the Young and Rubicam Advertising Agency in New York City, where she held the roles of senior vice president and creative director. In addition to that, she is the author of the book “Crazy Mama: A Memoir of Love and Madness.” She is the mother of one daughter, Lindsay, who resides in Los Angeles and is a journalist.

Williams wed MaHarry in the quaint community of Ojai, California, where he had relocated in 2011 in order to lead a more tranquil and serene existence. When asked about his choice to move his family out of Los Angeles at the time, the former “Melrose Place” star said that he desired for his children to be raised in a secure neighborhood.

Although he had only visited Ojai sporadically or on weekends at the time, he fell in love with the town’s residents as well as its atmosphere. Williams and his family began making more frequent trips to the location over time, and eventually, they settled there permanently.

Williams was said to have found peace and solace in Ojai, in addition to falling in love with the town’s kind and welcoming people as well as its secure setting. In addition to that, he mentioned:

“I owe a lot to Ojai for that, for my health, for my sanity, and for the ability to move forward.”

Williams has already tied the knot twice, the first time being with Lorrie Mahaffey in 1978, and the second time being with a different woman in 1986. His second marriage was to Jackie Gerkens, and despite the fact that they had been together for nearly three decades and had five children together, the couple found themselves in an unhappy situation. Initially, they chose to end their relationship, but not long after, they had a change of heart and decided to give their romance another go.

The couple first started along the path to divorce in September 2019, but only one month later, Williams allegedly appeared in court to petition for a dismissal of the case. However, nine months later, things started acting strange, and by 2020, the pair had finalized their decision to split.

In addition to having a troubled romantic life, Williams also struggled mightily with her health. In the days leading up to Christmas in 2016, he was given the news that he had colon cancer in Stage 2.

Soon after that, he had two different operations, and he remained in the hospital for a total of three weeks. Not only did he emerge successful in his fight against the ailment that threatened his life, but he also received a new perspective on life as a result of the experience.

Williams claims that after he realized his reason for life, he had a fresh love and admiration for his family, particularly his children and grandkids. This is what he said:

“I always knew that I loved them, and I always knew that they were important, but now it’s at a whole new level.”

We pray that Williams, who is now a devoted grandpa to four grandchildren and a happily married man, will continue to take joy in life’s little victories and treasure the memories he makes.
