Harlow Madden has us going a little bit crazy!
Nicole Richie used her Instagram Story over the weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day and pay tribute to her mother, Brenda Harvey-Richie. She also provided a glance at the other ladies in her family.
Although Nicole, her sister Sofia Richie, and Brenda were all in attendance, it was Nicole’s daughter Harlow who drew the most attention from fans due to the fact that she resembles her mother so closely in the seldom seen family portrait.
The eerie similarity between the mother and daughter, from their smiles to their eyes, is undeniably there. The mother and daughter both have long blonde hair, exactly as their mother does.
“You are in everyone’s hearts. “Happy Mother’s Day, Queen,” the creator of House of Harlow commented next to the adorable photo.
Nicole only sometimes posts images of her daughter, who is now 15 years old, with her husband, Joel Madden. In addition, the couple is parents to a boy named Sparrow, who is 13 years old.
Nicole, who notably came to stardom on reality TV in the 2000s starring on The Simple Life with BFF Paris Hilton, talked to ET back in 2021 about whether or not she’d allow her kids enter the crazy world of reality television and whether or not she’d let her kids join the show.
“To begin, before that time, there had only been a total of two reality programs. It was a combination of The Osbournes and The Real World, but this program was nothing like any of them, thus the premise was entirely original. “We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into or where we were going,” stated the former TV star who is now a designer. “And I think one of my favorite things about The Simple Life and one of my favorite things about doing it was, it really lifted us out of our regular life and placed us in the world of someone else. That was one of my favorite things about doing it. As a result, I have always been able to have a certain amount of privacy and have the ability to lead my own life.
She went on to say, “I think going into it now would be a different thing, but it just depends on what it is.” But if my children came to me and said, “I want to try this new thing that hasn’t been done before,” I would encourage them to do so. You merely say… Because they are clearly already preteens at this point, my answer is going to be no. But, sure, if they become 18 and they want to go do whatever it is, as long as it feels good and real to them, I’m cool with it. ”
When we last talked to Nicole, she gave the impression that the prospect of Harlow following in her pioneering footsteps in the world of fashion was a distinct possibility.
“My kid has a unique sense of style, yet she enjoys the world of fashion. That has nothing to do with me in any way, shape, or form. She constantly steals my clothing from me. “I just recently started using a Sharpie to write a N on all of my belongings so that she knows it’s mine,” Nicole joked. “She is currently wearing my clothes, and she asks me all the time, ‘What do you have?’” That’s exactly what I’m after. I’m taking it. After that, I was required to break into her wardrobe and take it back.
However, she isn’t pushing the issue either.
“I can watch them maturing into the people they are. “Every time I did something, my mother would always tell me, ‘You’re just like me,’ or ‘You’re just like your dad, or you’re just like…,’ and whenever I did something, I would tell her, ‘Stop saying that,’” she remembered. “As a result, I have made it a point to refrain from using language like that in the presence of my children.”
