Actor Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s finest men – and he’s also one of the industry’s nicest. On top of having a reputation for being so kind, Reeves is also a bonafide action star whose filmography speaks for itself. Some of his most well-known works include the “John Wick” and “The Matrix” franchises, as well as plenty of films in a variety of genres, such as romantic comedies, dramas, and thrillers.
There are plenty of examples out there that show just why Reeves is considered such a nice guy. From the time that he gave up his seat on the subway for a stranger and the various moments he’s shared with homeless people on the streets, listening to their stories, to the many donations he’s given to charities, Reeves is the epitome of a stand-up citizen and all-round good guy. Reeves has also taken the time to show his cast and crew members on the films he’s worked on just how much they mean to him and how much he respects them and the time they’ve put in.
Reeves has been through plenty of hardships in his life but has continuously bounced back and come back stronger than ever. He also has always left a great impression on those he interacts with, whether it be his longtime friendships with Sandra Bullock and Drew Barrymore or his beautiful romantic relationship with his current partner Alexandra Grant.
Reeves continues to maintain a great reputation in Hollywood and still goes out of his way to make the day of any fan, friend, or stranger that comes his way. This was made clear yet again when the unassuming superstar ambled into a pub in Britain for lunch with absolutely zero fanfare and thrilled the staff working there with his sweet and humble demeanor.

On Aug. 22, 2022, English groom James Roadnight was on a high after just having exchanged vows with his bride, Nikki, in Northamptonshire when he spotted the Hollywood legend at the wedding venue’s bar. In his exhilaration, the newlywed approached Reeves and invited him to have a drink and join in the celebrations.
“He was very friendly and said he would later on. We didn’t know if he would or not but it was cool that my husband had spoken to him!” Nikki had said. Lo and behold, the “Speed” star returned later and accommodated some of the guests with conversation and photos.
Reeves’ unofficial tour of spreading joy in the United Kingdom didn’t end there. Two days later, on Aug. 24, 2022, the manager of a quaint village pub in Charwelton, Northamptonshire, got the shock of his life when he saw the “Point Break” actor walk through his establishment’s doors.
Fox and Hounds manager Danny Ricks said initially, he couldn’t quite believe his eyes.
“I had to a double-take when he first walked through the door,” Ricks told BBC.
“I thought ‘That looks a lot like Keanu Reeves.’”
He told the outlet while he and his colleague, Laura James, were starstruck, they managed to “stay professional” while Reeves ordered a Caesar salad and a falafel dish.
“We did manage to get a picture with him at the end,” he added.
“He was absolutely lovely. It made everyone’s evening.”

On Feb. 4, 2023, staff at a local pub called The Robin Hood in Tring, Hertfordshire, were going about their usual Saturday service when who else but Reeves decided to walk in. While the joint is a favorite among locals, its staff never quite expected it to attract the likes of Hollywood A-listers. Barmaid Laura Rolfe told Metro she could hardly believe her eyes when she caught sight of the “Sweet November” star sauntering in at about 12.30 pm.
“The door swung open, and it was him!” she said, adding she couldn’t help but utter an expletive to pub owner Stewart Canham. One of the pub’s young chefs, Scott Valentine, told BBC Reeves and two others who were with him ordered two shepherd’s pies and two large fish and chips.
“It was a bit worrying because I had to cook for him but we took it out to him and he said thank you and was nice,” Valentine, 18, said. He added after the party had finished their meal, he asked the actor if he would be so kind as to say a quick hello to the back-of-house staff.
“He came into the kitchen, shook our hands, and said the food was lovely,” Valentine said.
Later that day, the eatery shared a photo of Reeves at the bar on its Facebook page and lauded the modest actor for being so agreeable.
“So today we had a surprise visitor for lunch… What a lovely man he was too,” the caption read. “Laura asked if he would be ok with taking photos with the kitchen lads. He marched into the kitchen shook their hands and praised them for the food they had prepared. Suffice to say he made their days!!!”
