The incident is real, it happened in the American city of Houston.
A waiter named Michael was working as usual that day when he noticed his regular customers. This family came to the cafe almost every day. It was a young couple and their 5-year-old son with Down syndrome.
Another family was seated at the next table. They constantly complained loudly that there was too much noise. Then the father of the family called the waiter and demanded to move the family with a sick child to another table so they wouldn’t be disturbed.
The server, hearing the words “children with similar characteristics should not visit public places”, was so angry. And he informed customers that he would not continue to serve them. The guests left the cafe after creating a big scandal.
Michael took a risk by taking such a step, he knew he could lose his job.
But instead, he got a lot of recognition and respect.
