An 8-year-old hero carried his disabled little brother through the whole triathlon

An eight-year-old hero carried his disabled younger brother throughout the triathlon.

This is Noah Aldrich. An 8-year-old boy from Idaho. When he heard about a youth triathlon in his neighbourhood, he immediately wanted to do it with his younger brother.

But the most amazing thing is that Noah’s little brother, Lucas, is six years old, and he was born with Lissencephaly, a rare brain disease that means he will never walk, talk, or eat on his own.

On 12 July, the brothers took part in a 200-metre swim, a three-mile bicycle ride and a one-mile race, with Noah carrying little Lucas in his arms in the heat.

During the swim, he pulled his brother up on a raft.

Hero? I think so. What an amazing older brother. Although Lucas couldn’t say anything, he had a smile on his face all the time. He knew he was part of something special.
