Lily Durante, 5, from Irvine, Pennsylvania, has been diagnosed by doctors with a glioma of the optic pathway. The girl was given chemotherapy. The child was walking around sad and scared. The parents wanted to support their daughter and cheer her up.

The girl loves princess cartoons. Knowing this, her parents bought her dresses with ruffles and sequins like Disney cartoon characters. Lily wore a new dress to each chemotherapy session. It took 30 dresses. Family and friends helped buy the dresses.

The girl was delighted and happy every time she put on a new dress. This helped her to bear the therapeutic procedures. When meeting Lily, the hospital staff greeted her by saying “Your Majesty”.

The baby had an allergic reaction to the chemotherapy. But the tumour had shrunk. Lily has been discharged from the hospital. In a little while, she will need an operation to correct her strabismus.
