The man took his elderly father to a restaurant. The father was very old and weak. As he ate, pieces of food fell on his shirt and pants. People turned and looked at him in disgust, but his son remained calm.
When dinner was over, the son helped his father to the bathroom.

There he cleaned his father’s pants and shirt, helped him wash, combed his white hair with love, helped him put on his glasses. When they entered the dining room, there was a gloomy silence.
The only thing that could be heard was the indignant murmur of how he could behave like this in a public place, throwing food here and there and depriving others of their appetites.

The son called the waiter, paid the bill, and as they were already leaving, one of them at one of the tables shouted:
“You seem to have forgotten something..” The son looked around, patted his pockets and said. “No, we had nothing left. »
Then the man shouted “You left something for everyone in the room. You left a lesson to every son and daughter and a hope to every parent. The people in the room suddenly fell silent.
Each of them was ashamed to criticize this father and this son; after all, one of the greatest honors fate can bestow on us is to care for our aging parents, the people who gave us their time, health, and money.
