This year, Bruce Willis said that he will stop acting because he has aphasia, a brain condition that gets worse over time and makes it hard to talk and communicate with other people.
The much-loved actor is now being cared for by his family, especially by his wife, Emma Heming Willis.
Since the 67-year-diagnosis, old’s the last few months have been hard for the Willis family, but it has also brought them closer together.
Bruce and Emma sold their house in Westchester, New York, so they could move to California.
People say that Willis doesn’t get out of the house very often. He seems to be «trapped» instead in his own thoughts.
When it was said that Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia, the whole world was shocked. Even though the famous and well-liked actor is only 67 years old, he has already made his last movie.
He is known for his roles in many movies, including Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, and The Sixth Sense.
But before we talk about that, let’s first talk about Bruce’s long and successful career.
His father was in the U.S. military and was stationed in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany, on March 19, 1955, when his son was born.
Willis was two years old when he and his family moved back to the United States. He was the oldest of four children. In the end, the family chose to live in Carney’s Point, New Jersey.

Bruce tried to fit in when he was a senior in high school by becoming the school’s favorite funny guy. Because of this, he joined the school’s theater club in the end.
Bruce worked as a security guard and then in a chemical factory after he graduated from Penns Grove High School.
He finally went back to school, enrolling at Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he found theater right away.
Bruce was eager to get the acting skills he would need to make it in the business. His drama professor, Jerry Rockwood, gave him great advice because he could see right away how talented the actor was.
He skipped class in the end so he could go to auditions in Manhattan. In January 1977, he made his acting debut in the play Heaven and Earth.
Bruce decided to drop out of school after his second year so he could focus on his acting career. He moved to New York so he could give himself the best chance.
At the time, Willis’s job on stage wasn’t enough to pay the rent. He paid for it by serving drinks and modeling for companies like Levis and Ray-Ban.
In the early 1980s, Bruce’s first few movie roles were uncredited. He was a young, stubborn, and talented actor who made his own choices at auditions. That was a move that would pay off big in the end.
In 1985, he was cast as David Addison in the TV show Moonlighting, which was shown on ABC. Before he finally got the part, almost 3,000 people tried out for it. It turned out to be his big break.
Bruce was in 66 Moonlighting episodes before the show ended in 1989. At that point in his life, he was no longer a young actor stumbling around trying to find his next role.
Instead, he was a rising star. He was also in a relationship with actress Demi Moore.
In 1987, Willis and Moore met at a party for the premiere of the movie Stakeout. On that night, they were both out with other people. In fact, the movie was led by Moore’s then-boyfriend Emilio Estevez.

In the movie Die Hard, he played New York police officer John McClane, and his line «Yippee-ki-yay» has become a famous movie quote.
In 1994, when he played boxer Butch Coolidge in the classic film Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino, he finally got the last laugh.
Bruce’s roles in two more Die Hard movies, the action-packed Armageddon, and the memorable The Sixth Sense cemented his place as one of Hollywood’s best actors.
At the time, Willis’s personal life had changed a lot. In 2000, he and Demi Moore broke up. At the time, they were thought to be one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood, so their divorce was very public.
